This page is the BRIGANDINE ABYSS Monsters hub — confirmed roster, monster roles, Rally relationships, and how to choose monsters for army composition. For role-based “best” picks without a fake tier list, open Best Monsters. For Leader classes, see Classes.

Quick Answer
Section titled “Quick Answer”- Confirmed Rally traits exist for Dragon, Pixie, Demon (system page) plus Unicorn and Ash Wolf (Producer Letters).
- Full retail monster roster is still being verified — check the in-game Mercenary/Monster List gallery to see your unlocked monsters.
- Squads may include up to five monsters within a leader’s Command Point budget (system confirmation).
- Role buckets (frontline, damage, mobility, support) matter more than a single “best monster” rank — see Best Monsters.
Monster Roles (How to Read the List)
Section titled “Monster Roles (How to Read the List)”Official materials describe attack, defense, recovery, and support strengths without publishing a full English stat encyclopedia. Use these role lenses when building squads:
| Role lens | What to look for | Hub link |
|---|---|---|
| Frontline / tank | Units that hold threatened hexes and protect the Leader | Combat tips |
| Damage | Units that close fights and focus-fire enemy Leaders | Best Monsters — damage |
| Flying / mobility | High movement or reposition tools (Dragon Rally +1 movement is confirmed) | Rally & Support |
| Support / healing | Rally sustain (Pixie MP, Unicorn adjacent HP) | Rally & Support |
| Rally carrier | Monster chosen partly for its Rally Trait on the Leader | Best Monsters |
Rally & Support Relationship
Section titled “Rally & Support Relationship”A Leader can Rally with one Monster, gaining that Monster’s Rally Trait while the Monster joins the Leader. Monster choice is therefore two decisions: independent hex role + Trait for the Leader. Do not pick only by Trait if the monster still needs to fight on its own.
Choosing Monsters for Army Composition
Section titled “Choosing Monsters for Army Composition”- Start from the Leader’s formation (Classes hub).
- Fill up to five slots within Command Points — promotions can raise cost (Class Change).
- Assign at least one role you are missing (frontline, damage, or sustain).
- Pick a Rally Trait that answers your next objective — mobility for long maps, sustain for attrition fights.
- Track gallery completion for the Mercenary/Monster List trophy (Trophy Guide).

How Monster Class Progression Works
Section titled “How Monster Class Progression Works”- Class-change milestones at Level 10 and Level 20 are currently reported in retail coverage (RPGamer review) but are not an official English stat table; treat these as reported and verify in-game.
- Some retail guides and community coverage mention quest items or special requirements for certain evolutions — those reports are not fully confirmed here and should be checked in the Mercenary/Monster List and class-change UI.
- Always check Command Points before assigning monsters: squads can include up to five monsters within a single leader’s Command Point budget (confirmed by the system documentation).
