Rally lets a Leader use a Monster in the troop to gain that Monster’s Rally Trait. Official English materials describe this as the Support System; release UI and trophies use Rally wording. Support is the system name — Rally is the action and Trait layer players search for.

A Leader can Rally with a Monster and gain its Rally Trait. Support describes the system; Rally describes the Leader–Monster link and Trait. Choose monsters for combat role and Trait — see Monsters and Best Monsters.

TermMeaning in BRIGANDINE ABYSS
Support (official system)A Leader commands monsters; one can join the Leader and grant a support ability / Rally Trait
Rally (release terminology)The Leader–Monster link that applies the Trait
Rally TraitNamed effect (movement, MP, healing, elemental tradeoff)

Common mistake: treating Rally as a flat damage buff. Official examples are tactical — movement, MP recovery, healing, or Dark-element tradeoffs.

The release gameplay terminology is Rally and Rally Trait. A Leader Rallies with a Monster, gaining that Monster’s named Trait. Early official materials used Support wording for this system; the current release terminology is Rally. Do not treat Rally as a universal damage increase or as a complete Monster ranking.

Rally Trait: Regenerate Ally HP

At the start of each turn, restore 5% HP to adjacent allies. A backline Leader can use this as passive sustain for nearby frontline units.

Rally Trait: Continued Movement

After using a skill, the unit can use remaining movement points to move again. This supports an attack-and-retreat pattern toward a safer position.

Dragon, Pixie, and Demon examples from the official system material can also be read as Rally / Support examples: Movement +1, Recover 5% of MP at the start of each turn, and an all-allied Dark-element change with a 20% Magic Defense decrease. These show mobility, recovery, and a tradeoff rather than a universal best choice.

  1. Read the Monster’s Rally Trait.
  2. Check the Leader’s formation and current squad budget.
  3. Decide whether the Leader needs sustain, mobility, or another tactical answer.
  4. Compare the Rally choice with the Monster’s value as an independent combat unit.

  • Early campaigns: first Rally trophy and learning Leader safety.
  • Mid-game attrition: Pixie MP or Unicorn healing Traits.
  • Mobility puzzles: Dragon or Ash Wolf movement Traits on cramped hex maps.
  • Risk fights: Demon Dark-element tradeoff — only when the defense penalty is acceptable.
  • Rally does not replace building a balanced five-monster squad.
  • The Rallied monster is not always the “best damage” pick — it may be the best Trait pick.
  • Dismiss/release steps, mid-battle swap rules, and exact costs are not fully documented in English system text — verify in-game.
